Description
Day 1: Paro
Meet our representatives at the airport, where you will then be driven to your hotel in Paro. You may have lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong) (one of the fineest museums in Asia that would shed further light to your adventurous trip to Bhutan and Paro Rimpong Dzong. In the evening, stroll around Paro town.

Day 2: Paro – Thimphu
After breakfast you will go for a 1 ½ hour drive to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. Ont he way, Visit Simtokha Dzong, the first fortress built in 1627 by the great dzong builder and unifier of the country, Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.
Check in hotel in Thimpu and visit the Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in memory of the third King, His Late Majesty, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, lovingly known as the Father of Modern Bhutan. Visit also The Textile Museum displaying the finest art of weaving from various regions of Bhutan. You will also be able to see the different fabrics and the intricacies of weaving. Lastly, before sunset, drive up to Sangaygang hill above Thimphu for a fabulous view of the city. The hill is a hue of multi-colored prayer flags fluttering in the wind. En route you shall also visit the mini zoo to see the national animal “Takin”.

Day 3: Thimphu – Sightseeing
Continue sightseeing in Thimphu starting with the Institute of Traditional Medicine. Throughout the day, you will visit School of Traditional Arts and Crafts, which offers course in the techniques of traditional art in religious and secular paintings, woodcarving, clay sculpture and traditional mask making; The Folk Heritage Museum: This museum lets you experience the Bhutanese way of living; Handmade Paper Factory where you can see the traditional way of making papers from bark of Daphne plants. Next, visit the 13th century Changangkha Lhakhang perched on a hill with a commanding view of Thimphu city. Plus visit the Thimphu Tashi Cho Dzong later in the evening.
Day 4: Thimphu – Punakha
In the morning, we will depart for Punakha, the drive takes around 2 ½ hour drive from the capital. On clear day you can get spectacular views of the Himalayas. Many colorful prayer flags also dot the pass. You will stop at Metshina Village en route and take a 20-minute walk through the rice fields to Chhimi Lhakhang, a fertility temple.
Check in hotel and after lunch we will drive towards the north of Punakha valley for a stunning nature drive to view Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten. You also have the option to hike up to Chorten.

Day 5: Punakha – Trongsa – Bumthang
Early breakfast drive to Bumthang takes approx 7-8 hours. Thereafter we shall drive through the tropical vegetation to Nobding and Pele la pass (11,221 ft) after that descend through the open meadows and valley of yak herders and several other villages. Lunch will be served at Chendebji restaurant. After lunch, you will visit Trongsa Dzong. And continue drive to Bumthang, en route stop in Chhumey at a weaving center run by a local family. They have an array of famous local sheep-wool textiles.

Day 6: Bumthang – Sightseeing
Bumthang is home to many prominent Buddhist temples and monasteries. Today we shall visit the following places of interests.
Start the morning with visit to Kurjey Lhakhang complex. Next, visit Tamshing Lhakhang, located in a village across the river from Kurjey Lhakhang.
After lunchm drive up the hill to visit the Jakar Dzong. The Dzong is now the seat of district administration and monastic body of Bumthang valley. Take a drive to Tokto Zam followed by a 30 minutes hike to visit the Thangbi Monastery. This excursion gives you an opportunity to get close to nature. Evening at leisure.

Day 7: Bumthang – Ura Valley Excursion
Early morning depart for an excursion to Ura valley (2 hours drive) over the Sherthrang la pass (11,810ft). We will pass through several villages along our journey. While in Ura, we will visit the Ura Monastery and take a walk through the village. After lunch at restaurant, we will drive back to the road head to Tang valley and visit Mebartsho (flaming lake), where the Terton Pema Lingpa has discovered the treasure hidden by Guru Rimpoche. In the evening after dinner, we will drive to witness Jambay Lhakhang festival.

Day 8: Bumthang – Trongsa – Wangdue
Today, you will retrace your journey back. Lunch will be served at Chendebji restaurant. Before check into Hotel visit Wangdue Dzong, sitting right above from the bridge is the dzong of Wangdue Phodrang, town’s most visible feature.

Day 9: Wangdue – Paro
Drive to Thimphu for lunch. Afternoon at leisure for independent exploration of Thimphu city. Drive to Paro in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Paro – Hike to Taktsang
We drive straight away to the north of Paro valley to Ramthangkha, from where we start our hike to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s Nest). It takes a little less about hour and half one way. Return lunch will be served at Taktsang cafeteria. Walk downhill to the road and en route, visit the ancient ruins of Drukgyel Dzong and the 7-century Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 11: Paro – Depart
After an early breakfast in the hotel, your guide will see you off at the airport
