Description
Begin your experience with a pick-up from your hotel in Kota Kinabalu. On the way to Kinabalu Park, you will take a scenic 30 minutes drive to Tamparuli Town. Here, visit Historical Wooden Shop houses of olden days and walk across the famous “Jambatan Tamparuli”, a suspension bridge.
Then, proceed to Kinabalu Park. This journeywill take approximately 1.5 hours, passing by villages and paddy fields along mountainous roads on Crocker Range. Along the way, we will make a brief stop at Nabalu, where local natives gather to sell local produce, fruits, home grown vegetables and handicraft souvenirs.
Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, enjoy the refreshing and cooling air as you proceed for a walk along the nature trails in the Botanical Garden. If the day is clear, you may even spot a majestic view of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain between the New Guinea and Himalaya. Kinabalu Park boasts diverse exotic plants, birds and insects and is also home to Rafflesia, the largest flower in the world.
After having lunch in a local restaurant, relax and unwind at the Poring Hot Springs. At approximately 47 km from Kinabalu Park, this natural hot springsc ontains sulphuric minerals which have been deemed to have special healing properties and is very famous among the locals.
You can also try the Treetop Canopy Walk, where suspension bridges are suspended at the top of the tropical jungle. Experience the height of about 30m above the ground and length of 157m. A 20 minutes hike is needed to reach the Canopy Walkway, while giving you a spectacular view of the Borneo rainforest.
Return to your hotel in Kota Kinabalu.
