Description
Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Kbal Spean. Kbal Spean is located more than 50 km from Angkor, a river bed covered with sculptures of lingas, the symbol of the God Shiva’s supreme essence. On arrival, start trekking uphill for abour 45 minutes to visit the sculpture of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Lekhsmi and Thousand Lingas on the bed of stream and waterfall.
Beng Mealea located about 70 km from Angkor Wat, which is largely unrestored with trees and thick bush thriving amidst its towers and courtyards’ and many of its stone lying in great heaps.
After lunch, we visit the small and charming Banteay Srei temple also known as the Citadel of Women which showcases the most exquisite, deep and complex carvings in all Khmer architecture. Admire Banteay Srei's style, a mix of the archaic and the innovative and built largely of red sandstone, with brick and laterite used only for the enclosure walls and some structural elements.
Last but not least, explore the local markets or visit the Artisan D’Angkor workshop to see wood and stone carvings before you return to your hotel.
