Description
Travel from Bangkok to the province of Kanchanaburi and experience a memorable day out that will take you back in time and let you appreciate the history surrounding the River Kwai and its famous bridge.
Day 1: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
Pick up at hotel in Bangkok and depart for Kanchanaburi. Visit the War Museum (Thailand-Burma Railway Centre), an open air museum with collection of photographs, picture, articles, pistols, knives and other items from the construction of the “Death Railway” War Cemetery by the prisoners of war. Visit the cemetery of the remains of over 6,000 prisoners of war, who lost their lives during the construction of the “Death Railway” then continue to visit the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. Later, take a long-tailed boat from pier to get to your hotel, passing by unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery. Check-in on arrival. Lunch will be served. After lunch, take a long-tail boat upstream to visit to the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village Dinner, followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance.

Day 2: Kanchanaburi - Bangkok
Breakfast at hotel, and then take an exciting boat ride downstream to Resotel Pier and continue to visit the Hellfire pass Memorial and Cutting Mountain for a railway track have built by the Allied prisoners. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Then take a historic ride on Death Railway Train, passing lush forests; the last existing train station of the Thailand-Burma railway in Thailand where you will pass by wooden viaduct built along the mountain. Arrive Nam-Tok station and continue back to your hotel in Bangkok.
